Assassin’s Creed 2 DLC Detailed

1179886-956856_20091021_790screen002_super

As we already know Ubisoft is releasing 2 DLC packs for this coming January and February each requiring a massive 1GB of storage.  Well we finally got a little info on each:

The Battle of Forli – This was an actual battle that took place  in Forli, an Italian city near the country’s northeastern coast.  The strange thing is that it took place sometime in the 13th century and involved the French forces loyal to Pope Martin IV and forces under the command of Guido I da Montefeltro.  So how will this tie into the game’s 15th century timeline?  Will we get to see Ezio great – grandaddy hoping around on rooftops?  All we know for now is that it will release for $3.99 sometime in late January.  Ezio will be teaming up with Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza to defeat the Orsi brothers through 6 new mission.

Bonfire of the Vanaties – This actually refers to burning objects of sin.  It just so happens that in 1497 during the Shrove Tuesday festival in Florence Italy, supporters of the Dominican priest Girolamo Savonarola publicly burned thousands of objects including art and books.  The DLC will release in late February for $4.99 and feature previously unexplored areas of Florence, a new “spring-jump” move and 10 new missions leading up to an encounter with ol’ Girolamo himself.

Im pretty excited about this as they are supposedly the 2 missing memories, 12 and 13, (which I didn’t even notice) from the main game.

Share your thoughts.  Let us know what you think of this DLC and our almost Game of the Year.
